This is my last blog post as this journey has ended. My mother unfortunately did not have the strength to overpower this insidious disease. I on the other hand have been blessed. I have been blessed with a form of cancer that was curable and a support network of family and friends that offered comfort and advice. Although this path was not easy (and my hair has still not grown back) I was fortunate to find your support through this outlet. Today I kicked cancers ass. My doctor said he expected to see something light up on my ptscan and remarkably there was nothing. Yes, it was the drugs and the treatment that cleaned my body but I prefer to also think that on this Mother’s Day weekend my mom gave me a present. Mom, I hope you always knew that it was your strength from which I drew inspiration and that this success is also yours....forever linked to Mother’s Day. Love to all of you who read this blog and it doesn’t matter if you’re not a mom, happy “others” day.
